Definition issue ?

Just to clear out a common definition for different kind of training types.

I use the following def's : up to 80% of HR-max = easy run (ER) , 81%-85% = medium run (MR), >85% = tempo run (TR).

Mr Daniels definition is : 65-79% of HR-max = easy (E), 80-90% = marathon race pace (M), 88-92% = tempo runs / treshold training (T),

Any comments would be appreciated, how do you define the HR-interval 85-90% of HR-max ?

  1. Actually I think that Daniels definition is the one to stick to. Me personally I tend to have the same defition as you Kent but I think that I will get back to Daniels. Use the M more frequently and only use TR when I run >88% of max HR.
