These pictures was taken before and after Helsinki marathon in 1994
(10years before El Maco,s first pair of running shoes was bought ! ).
Unfortunately I was yong and stupid in +25C, started in 5,0-tempo as
I always did back in time. After appr. 25km I broke the race, took a fast
shower and went to a Casino with my new girlfriend instead........
It took me 15years before I dared to come back to Helsinki for a marathon :-)

Marre caught Åke"Biten"Eriksson on his way the last km of Stockholm
marathon in 1995 (2.14.29). This was the original route Valhallavägen
southerly direction towards Stockholm stadium..
How do you say "snacka om gåshud" in English ?
(a word for an extremly nice feeling)
Two great photos Kent! It's a shame that you didn't fulfil the race. What was the reason?
SvaraRaderaHehe.... yes ! To fast pace first 20km and perhaps to much focus on other things than only running.. and once again it was a lovely day in Helsinki and I was young and bla,bla. Marre caught me after 25km on the south esplanad (like kungsträdgården in the city area). She seemed to have a lot more fun than me.....
