Forerunner 310 XT - Breaking News

Tjoho! Finally I am a proud owner of this little nice box:


I know you all are wondering why I bought this one. Well my good old friend F305 is almost three years old. The heart rate strap is not working anymore so I use Idas all the time. Last Friday the reset button didn't work. So I decided to go for it. Why not, it's X-mas time and the F310XT is not that expensive anymore.

Now for the nice content:

To the right you see the charge they use now. Kind of two metal things that you stick in the F310. I guess I liked the old solution better. The charger can be handled both via USB and standard. Please also note the ultra thin heart rate strap. Lets give you a more detailed picture of that one:

See what I am saying? It's razor thin! The old one I have had was 15 times thicker. This one is like a summer breeze. I haven't tried it still. Might have to go for a slow easy one tomorrow just to see that everything is perfect before the secret long run on Thursday.

Installation

I am currently installing the ANT stick (the little USB thing in the second picture). I will try to install everything to be totally up and running tomorrow.!
