When I was out there on the lonely Slutvägen trying to make a smooth recovery run (after Wednesdays LR) and realized how bad it really is when you are facing northerly moderate or fresh breeze (5 - 10m/s) in -9 degrees, I thought for a while about alternative Friday evening activities that you could have spent your time on instead....

I guess I talk for most of us winter runners around Stockholm now, please give us no more snow, no more cold temperatures. It enough now. Let's kick in the springtime instead, clean & dry pavements and streets, temperatures above zero, the taste of a pure Ursvik 10k or a fresh Edsviken rountrip..... What about that ? I am down on my knees now....
My only comfort right now is that I am not alone and not so extreme compared with others. I read "MarathonMias" blogg yesterday, all about a totally freaked out initiative (but so cool) to run all the streets of Kungsholmen. They run longer then my best week so far 2010 in one run !!!!
Impressive that you ran today! I was up at 07:00 today. Started to prepare myself for a run. The temperature was - 13.4 C. I checked outside and the wind was terrible. No chance in the world that I was going to run in that weather. Now we are totally snowed in here at Kungsängen. I will take a rest day today and I might even to it tomorrow. I am actually afraid to get freeze wounds on the skin. This is just so so extreme!
