Today we had a 9Km run in Kista at 11:30 am. Then a quick shower, quick lunch, meeting, work.
The weather was perfect, not too cold. I could feel the spring in the air. We ran a little bit faster than usual (for me) but it felt good, it was fun.
The bad news: I got a little bit of pain in my knees...so I am seriously considering to take a 2 weeks pause. Skövde is now totally out of the picture, sorry guys.
I am planning to take 2 weeks with only spinning and body pump, and lots of stretching.
Honestly I don´t have too much pain, it is only a little. But it is constant now. It is annoying and it worries me, and I don´t want it to get worse. I really want to go Ultra!

Thanks for a nice run, it is always fun and inspiring to run with you!

Mylay, don't you worry, it's a good decision. You show now that you are in fully control. It is no meaning at all with ramping up to fast.
SvaraRaderaI am not familiar with the reason for the pain in your knees, but a very frequent "error" is lack of stretching leading to shortening of muscles an "runners knee"-sympthoms... Have you read Mailn Everlöw on marathon.se ???

It can of course be many different reasons for why your knees hurts, but if lack of serious stretching after every run this is something you can easily correct.... and don't believe in that just some muscles are important. All of them shall be stretched, they are integrated in your body.... A shortening in one muscle can lead to problems in another one, so it's quite complex........
Take your time, and we go for LR,s and Ultras when you feel better :-) ......
Hej Mylay, I agree with Mr. Legend. You are doing the right thing to take it easy. I am just now feeling more confident of training after more than six months of on again/ off again knee pain.
SvaraRaderaHej Mylay, just found your blog (via Facebook). Nice to read about your running, not so nice with the knee pain :-( Hopefully stretching will work though, lots of knee problems seem to originate from tight muscles. Let me know if you are going for a slooow run in Kista someday, and I can keep you company :-)
SvaraRaderaHej!
SvaraRaderaMr Legend and Mr US, thanks for your words, It feels like a good decision, and I hope to be back on track soon!
