Gone skiing

Time for some vacation! One week in Björnrike. Skiing 24/7. Well, that is not totally true. I will of course run a lot as well. Will be interesting to see if there are any runable streets in Björnrike. I don't want to run where there are a lot of cars. Hopefully I will find something. Even a parking lot would be ok (400 m * 25 = 10km).

So hopefully something will happen on the blogg during next week. As of today it's a pure El Maco show. I guess that the Adsense removal squeezed too much blogg energy into El Maco.

I have some bad update regarding Mr US Coach. Something happened to his calf when he was skiing. Sounded that he was injured. He will not run for a while now. Please Mr US Coach - keep us updated!

  1. Hi El Maco!

I just want you to be careful out there. Remember skiing can be rather dangerous, at least downhill. Still "walking" on crutches 2,5 week after my skiing adventure, see some details on http://christina-l-h.blogspot.com/ , March 8th.

Have fun and run with joy!

  2. Hej El Maco and Jan E!

Ouch!!! JE that looks extremely painful! What happened?

My fall was practically in slow motion, but I caught my left ski in some deep snow on a steep piste up at Whistler, and injured my left calf (vad) pretty intensely. Couldn't walk on it the first couple of days, and even though the swelling is down now, it still hurts to put weight on my left leg. Will try to recuperate as fast as possible to minimize lost training time.

  3. I have done two running sessions so far here in Björnrike. Crazy, since it's all up and down. But its a good combo - skiing and running.

Have anyone heard of Mr Legend? Is he out there?

  4. Back again ! Sad stories from both of you JE & Mr US Coach... Both Whistler and Åre seems to be dangerous places. I hope you recover soon........

  5. My fall was in good speed. I was passing between two slopes, over an area where it looked like some soft snow. However, it was ice, and the skies just stopped, and I continued on my own. I'm rally glad I wore a helmet. The price I have to pay is six weeks of crutch walking... The good thing is that I'm not suffering from any bad pain.
Mr US Coach, I hope you will be able to start running again soon.

To the rest of you, keep on running! //Jan E
