Spring is here with tempo-runs

Hi all !

Spring is here now. 85% of the pavements are now clean from snow. I did my first real tempo-run today.
A fantastic feeling... (11km, 4,52tempo HR-avg 89%). From now on I will go for at least one faster run per week. In a couple of weeks with this weather we can look forward to an Ursvik 5km premier...

I am aiming for a homerun this Friday afternoon (Kista - Tappström in slow tempo). If anyone is intrested
just let me know.......

El Maco, it's great to hear that you do your training even up in the "highland of Härjedalen". It's a perfect preparation for your Vertex marathon....

  1. Great to hear! Still missing your runs on GC. Have you skipped GC now?

  2. Excellent! Glad to hear the weather is improving and speedwork is on the agenda!

Unfortunately for me, my strained calf (vad) is going to take some time to heal. Could be up to four more weeks. I have a friend who is a physical therapist, and hopefully with his advice I can speed up the recovery process.

  3. Sad to hear about your strained calf. Just take it very easy when you start up again and increase distance very slowly....

El Maco, I am will load up my week so far this evening, I am still on GC, sorry for my delayment.

  4. Great to see your runs on GC now. Looked like you had a really good TR. Really impressive km splits.

I took a short run today. Was totally drained from energy after that run. I think that I should take it more easy now. I need a LR but I can't do it from here. Too many hills.

  5. I am sure you blow a lot of energy in the skiing as well ! Take it easy up there and I can easily understand that a LR is out of scope for you this week.... Perhaps Mylay join me tomorrow on my homerun....
