26Km (almost) with Team Stockholm Marathon

Hej!

Today it was a nice running day with Team Stockholm Marathon. I tried to identify the pain in my knee, where it feels and when. Here is the result:
1Km - I feel a little bit heavy. And I have some pain in my left knee, in the inside.
5Km - The pain moves to the front of my knee, in the lower part. I need some energy, eat Dextrose.
7Km- No pain at all, strange but it has disappeared. I Feel light.
17Km - Feeling great. No pain, I have energy. The sun shines. We run in the city, it is really nice. The tourists take pictures of us.
21Km- The pain comes back, just a little bit in the front.
22 Km- Gone again, no pain at all.
25,8Km-I come home, strange but I am not so tired. I feel very well.

So in summary it was a good day. I have discovered that eating pizza the day before a Long Run helps me a lot. So from now on I am a pizza lover. Mexicana Pizza is my favourite, you should try it!
















I also realized one bad thing....this year I have ran much less that last year (Jan-April). So now it is time for me to stop being lazy...I will not miss one single pass if it is in my schedule...

  1. Ok, I have never tried Pizza as part of the carboloading, but why not ! I will try myself !!!
    543km Jan - April last year was very good. Of course we need to remember that last year there where allmost no winter at all, no low temperatures. But honestly as long distance runner I believe at least around 100km/month is needed for you to build up your strenght in your legs..
    Last Saturday I did a 15km ER in the sun. Now I have just two very easy runs left this week, to get in shape for Vällingby marathon next weekend....

  2. I think the main reason I ran more last year is that I was home in maternity leave...so I had more time, less worries and was not so tired...But no excuses, I have to get focus again!! :)
    Good luck in Vällingby, let´s talk in the week, I might want to join for your easy runs.
