Facts and figures issue

I just realize that there is an inconsequence in our fact & figures tables. El Maco and I did report our Ultras in the long distance run table. Should we report even marathons there ? I don't think that's so funny, since in the end of the year the marathon & long run distance tables will be almost identical i guess.

A suggestion is that we break out Ultras in an own table and not reporting "official" Marathons & Ultras at all in the long run distance table !

What is your opinion ?

  1. I guess it all depends on what the Long Run table wants to show. If it wants to show the longest runs during 2010 I guess we have to include all runs, including ultras etc. If you want this table to be Long Run except races then that would be possible.

  2. Morning El Maco ! Yes that's right, it's all about how we ddefine that table :-)

  3. So do we want a table with the longest runs during 2010 or the longest training sessions? If you want the longest trainings sessions a good name would be "Longest Training Runs 2010". The other table could have the name "Longest Runs 2010". Might be interesting. The good thing with having a table for longest runs is that it might drive someone to actually make a run longer than 42.2km during a training run.

  4. Fully agree, a very good idea !
Let's see if we recieve any comments from the other LR writers before we change !

  5. Ok, sounds good to divde. But should we then have a third table that summarizes the total? what do you think, does it become too much?

  6. Thanks for all common input !
Let's take it up again later in 2010, for the moment I have only done the clearification that the long run distance table excludes official marathon competitions.
As a god friend of mine use to say in swenglish, is that Ok for time beeing, or ?
