Long time no see or write...well here is a little status report :)
I'm seeing a lady who puts 10cm long needles into my piriformis ! It took me several years to dare getting akupunkture. I'm getting something called triggerpoint akupunkture. It's quite amazing because it seems to help. Actually the best treatment I ever tried. I've done a few easy 5K's and the "piri" is working fine. Now my side thighs have showed up to be the next problem to fix so next time I'm getting needles there as well. I feel there is hope to actually make a comeback during the year. A comeback for me would be just to be able to do 10K's without getting muscular problems and graually and very slowly building up my strenght and endurance for long runs (long runs is the real dream...). I also realized that I suffer a common runner weakness around my hips so I'm doing exercises to strengthen this area as well.

Congratulations Mr.W. It's so nice to read that there is good hope for all of us now ! Triggerpoint massage is something I believe you did taught me years ago but trigger point akurpunkture is totally unkowned for me. I hope it works.

Mr W, when you deliver your first 10k run I'll open up a bottle of finest Champagne for a blogg-toast :-)
