Stockholm stadium two minutes before my legendary spurt

It took me 14years to once again cross the finishing-line sub 4hours in Stockholm. Should of course be very happy but I am actually not. The weather condtions was perfect, my preparation was perfect, even my goal was perfect (now at last I have learned about how important it is to start very smooth. 56,37min first 10k compared to 54,07 last year. But guess what happened, already after 7km down by "münchenbryggeriets" drinking station I sprained my right ancle, so I had to fight the pain for 35km. (You don't want to look at my foot today I promise). So I was more or less forced to take it smooth and perhaps that explain my lowest HR-avgerage (83%) ever in a marathon. I passed Mylay at Skeppsbron when we just have passed 30km, she looked fresh but a lttle bit tired. At that time I was 100% sure that if it wouldn't hurt to much in my right foot last 12k I would easliy go below 4hours. My HR was just at that time established at 150bpm (like a walk in the park actually...). Anyway the pain got worse after Västerbron so it became a "second-fight" all the way in to the stadium. A nice detail was that for the first time ever the speaker at Västerbron (2nd lap) shouted out my name and my 12 marathons. The crowd really lifted me up on that bloody bridge. I even misscalculated on the last 195meters (that's another minute in my tempo), so when I passed 41km I was forced to more or less "spurt" (4,47-tempo) last km. That crazy rush resulted in new HR-max value 178 bpm on the finishing line (shouldn't be possible after a 42km,s run) .
I also want to lift my hat off for the real fighters El Maco, Mylay & David. There is a little bit of Mr Legend in all of you, I cant wait to read your reports :-).......................
So sad to hear about the foot! You are wrong Mr Legend! We ALL want to see that foot! Come on! Give us the evidence! Post it on the blogg! Please!!!!
