Hi !
What a terrible nightmare last weeks have been when comes to internet & telephone connections.
Thanks Mr 31957 for borrowing your mobile broadband......
Anyway I have read all your postings now and things are realy going in the right direction now. ´:-)
Both Mr 31957 & Mr W is on the way up, UltraMylay has promised to update facts and figures very soon,
El Maco and Mr USC are running like young calfs in the springtime. Portland, Seattle, Lidingö, Karlstad, Växjö, Åland etc.... a lot of nice challanges for us this autumn...
I am now per this morning up to date on GC, 163km so far in Aug. I am now looking forward to Karlstad 6-timmars on Sep 11th. I will come back on my Karlstad-goals. Of course my distance-goal will be to go a little bit further than 53km as I managed in Skövde, but as I have done this year I will continue, rather setting up HR-goals than tempo and time goals.
This week I did my 12th homerun (now directly from work in Kista to my new adress in Träkvista).
Homerun 12
Aug 25th LR Ki - Träkvista extended 30,1km

Given the fact that the conditions was optimal (+14C, cloudy, just some few drops from above), the HR-curve below is exactly what I am struggling for (not always the case I can promise).
No stupid over-outtake before halfway or two thirds done.
In my case not exceeding 150Bpm (84% of my max HR) to early. I do absolutely believe that my lactic treshold comes far below 90%-level, especially after 2hours run, perhaps already at 86-87%. At this LR last four km,s was hilly and you can easily see where this LR challange really started for me.

Nice run Mr L ! Which version of Sportracks are you using ? 2.1 or 3.0 ? Looked for the freeware but it all points to the 3.0 which is not freeware.
SvaraRaderaAn incredible pace Mr L! Very fast and still low HR. I now demand that Mr USC makes a good analysis of all your runs. I think that you are a lot stronger than you have told us!
SvaraRaderaThanks el Maco, but honestly you know as I have said before, my homerun is not at all comparable to yours, it's a flat one allmost all the way...... :-)
SvaraRaderaBut still Mr Legend. You are always very reluctant to inform us that you actually are in a great shape. Normally you just say that something "felt good" or that it wasnt "that bad". Not its time for you to step out of the darkness. Feel the inspiration of El Maco the true window of honestness. I always inform all of you about my plans BEFORE I do something. I now have the motto "Let Quality come into play". Totally open.
SvaraRaderaYou say that your plans for Karlstad is to run longer than your 53 km in Skövde. Why on earth cant you say it out loud: "Yes of course, El Maco ran 54.4km in Skövde, it would be nice to beat that distance". Nothing wrong with that. I can promise you that I would have communicated such an objective. Of course things might not turn out >55km. So what? At least you went for it!
Go for it Mr Legend. Come out of the dark side of life!
Welcome to the transparant world of El Maco and Mr US Coach!
Hi Mr W ! I have 2.1 installed. Ok, 3,0 is not a freeware anymore.... but anyway, from my point of view, sporttracks is worth every daim.....
SvaraRaderaI thrust you as always MR L, and it was only 35USD so now I'm a proud owner of Sporttracks 3.0. Now I only need learn how to use it :)
SvaraRaderaBTW: I was impressed (but too much of a "rookie" to dare to comment) by your low HR and speed on your LR - but El Maco confirmed my thoughts...Are we going to see big things from Mr L (and El Maco of course) in the next race ? Yes, I believe so.
Yepp, Mr. Legend is on track for some impressive results!
SvaraRaderaFollowing through with the Daniels/McMillan charts on this latest home run / long run indicates Mr. L has the capacity to run some extremely fast races! Or perhaps a 56 KM Karlstadt? Conditions will be the key determining factor, but with the support during the race, and the crowd cheering him on, I think Mr. L will be in prime position to be king of the ultras!
But the real icing on the cake will come when Mr. L "Lets Quality Come Into Play!" and does some speedwork to unleash the velocity he has in his legendary DNA!
Hi all !
SvaraRaderaMy focus has been to continue acc. to my distance plan, but due to a lot of other activities last month that has stolen a lot energy from me I have not dared to go for CI,s or TR,s ....
When comes to Karlstad of course El Macos 54km would be so nice to beat, but most important for me this time will be a perfect tactical disposition. What that can lead to I am not so sure about, but believe me, Lidingö Ultra was my best lesson in 2010. Just take it easy first hours, and then you can run all the day if needed... but I must try to eat more during this Ultra.....
