Recovery Run - Is this a RR - http://connect.garmin.com/activity/45434401 ?

After two days of a terrible cold I am running again. The cold is still there. No - or very little - throat pain. Decided to take it slow slow today.

Mr US Coach - is this by definition a recovery run by me? Check the run and give me your verdict!

Plans for tomorrow. Mr Mizuno and I will tomorrow go on a long run. Lidingöloppet for both of us in five weeks from now. I would guess that Mr Mizuno will go 20km tomorrow and I will try for 25km.

I would also like to see when we will ever see a real pure recovery run by Mr Legend or Mr US Coach. I know that Mr L did something a month ago. But the first half was run with his wife and the second half he speeded up, hence average was slow HR but not a pure RR. So please guys, the proof is in the pudding. You guys can really talk the talk but to seldom walk the walk.

/ El Maco who always deliveres what he in advance has communicated. Nothing on the dark side here. Everything well in advance announced...plans for next week, plans for tomorrow etc etc

  2. Here are my two cents,

You rested for two days during the worst part of your cold, which was good. You have been been pushing extremely hard the last several weeks, and your body needed some time to fight the cold and repair itself. The slow "Recovery Run" was also good. Relaxing pace, and low HR allowed you to ease back into harder workouts ahead. If you had asked me beforehand, I would have recommended a shorter distance (you could have had the same beneficial effect by only going 5 KM's), especially the day before a 25 KM run, but you seem to have a phobia of putting anything on Garmin Connect less than 10 KM's! That is a different issue!

  3. Thanks for the comment. I agree. I have the same problem as Mr Legend. The 10km phobia. Today I will run wit Mylay. I might try to go for 9km instead of 10km just for therapy reasons.
