Someone has lately been out for a small 36,4km LR..... have a look in F&F.
Fantastic, please update us readers, why just 36,4 ? It happens to be the longest training
run in 2011 so far, my hat off ........

All hail Mr US Coach. It's fanastically coincidential that it happens to be just exactly 800 metres more than the previous longest long run. How can that be?
SvaraRaderaMr US Coach. Please tell us all about it!
Just a long slow stroll in the park.
SvaraRaderaI have been happy that the tightness and pain I was experiencing in my IT band during the summer is gone, but with a little more than a week to go until Seattle Marathon (Nov. 28th), I have pretty much abandoned any hope of beating my Portland time, and will just run at a comfortable pace.
But please comment the distance! Dont you agree? Conviently just above the magical 35.6km
SvaraRaderaLifetime runners is not a competition.
SvaraRadera18.2 KM's just happened to be a good point to turn around and head home.
Now if Secret Long Run VII just happens to be 36.5 KM's, then we know something fishy is going on!
SvaraRaderaAnd what happened to Secret Long Run VI?
Ha ha ha! Just happened to be a good point to turn around. Sure thing!
SvaraRaderaSecret Long Run VI will be handled by Mr Legend. Secret Long Run VII will be done by me so that is already planned. Dec 14. Somewhere around 36.6 - 36.7km.
Hmmm, I am concerned about where this is going.
SvaraRaderaWhat happened to the El Maco of October 31st who wrote:
"To take it smart. To finally understand that I am 38 years old and I have a nice winter season coming up.
I feel good now. November starts and I will try to stay smart. The new El Maco way."
I guess the new El Maco way is over already!
Next thing we know, SLR VII will be scheduled for 37.6 KM in Björnrike! Anything less would be failure!
We all know that El Maco way is the El Maco way.
SvaraRaderaIts just that Mr US Coach still seems to think that we dont understand that the only reason going 18.2 instead of 17.8 was the record on Fact and Figures.
Admit it!
I'll admit that I was curious to see what reaction would entail if I had my own SLR which just happened to be a little farther than El Maco's September 11th posting, but I also have changed my training over the last few weeks to go far on the weekend, and not stress so much about logging miles during the week. (Primarily because work has been so busy that I have had zero time during the weekdays to run).
SvaraRaderaMy limited conclusion is that it is possible to maintain LR conditioning by not doing much of anything during the weekdays, and going long one day during the weekend, but personally, I am not very interested in running 4 hour plus training runs, and I will go back to three to four shorter runs during the week as soon as Seattle marathon is over.
But back to El Maco, is the El Maco way to have his name on the top of every F&F list? Is that the reason for the request to have all the additional data?
El Maco's Nov 14th LR post:
Great! What I would like to see are the following charts:
Fastest km (a chart 1-10). Yes you read it correctly. Hence the fastest km. Period! Nothing more. Just a very fast km. How fast can we go? 3:35?
Fastest 5km run (a chart 1-10)
Fastest 10km run (a chart 1-10)
Longest run (a chart 1-10)
Weekly distance (1-10)
Monthly distance (1-10)
Fastest marathon (1-10)
Longest ultra marathon
Longest training runs
Well guys. You cannot say from looking at the Fact and Figures that El Maco has anything to add for 2010. I am on top on one of the nice tables. No - El Maco is not in it for the medals nor for the tables. But El Maco likes the tables.
SvaraRaderaIts Mr US Coach that makes these months / runs that are just a little bit more than previous top record (look at month of August or last long run)
Hehehe, Mr USC & El Maco, you really make life worth living.
SvaraRaderaHonestly, if we can inspire each other, whatever follow table up we set-up, it's a win-win concept, as long as we have ... "a twinkle in the eye".
Good luck to you Mr USC in Seattle, and thanks a lot for bringing some excitment into our upcomming SLR,s :-)
