Todays lunch run was a tough one. Mr Legend looked fresh all the way. It was 0 degrees C and the snow was falling. But the strong wind made the snow fall horizontally. In the eyes all the time. Sharp small edgy snow = pain in the face.
These are the kind of runs that are so utterly important during November. The weather sucks. You don't want to run. But you do it anyway. When you're home you feel like you have done the double distance. Secret long run next week will be very challenging. If we get a weather like this then it can be like the classical Secret Long Run III (which was called Route of Pure Pain)

Thanks mate, but honestly I am a little bit afraid of the consequences with two or maybe three first-time SLR runners into the group. I do absolutley believe that we should go for max. 35km, not more......
SvaraRaderaVery nice pic. I agree, it is though to go out running these days. Byt you feel like a hero when you have done it.
SvaraRaderaThe only first-time SLR is Gaby...she is the only one joining.
But 35Km? that is too long for me....I can´t do more than 21...Maco let´s talk about that tomorrow!
Wow! You are in full winter mode now! Great to see you are all still enthusiastically getting out there!
SvaraRaderaHa ha ha. 35km. Well you never know. Buy UltraMylay - I promise you that you will be able to do this run in 20km as well. Just bring your SL card.
SvaraRaderaHi again, it was of course a bad joke, I agree that 20-30km seems reasonable, with well planned climb offs as usual :-)
SvaraRaderaI strongly recommend that we all prepare with fast carbos and energy drinks in our belts, or some cash in the pocket for ev. quick stops at any stores along the way....
El Maco, since you are the first SLR-creator this season, please plan the route so that we have some "quick-shop-stop" possiblities along the course...
It will be so fun... I can't wait....
