A very close friend of mine and my wife's passed away last weekend. She was only 42 and died unexpectedly of an aneurysm while running! We ran several races together over the years, and we cheered her on and ran the last 5 KM of the Los Angeles marathon with her in 2001. Here we are running the La Jolla half marathon in 2002:
