Short summary of Mr L,s 17th Kista - Ekerö christmas homerun...
Thanks to the secret long run concept that actually has keeping us focused this early & cold winter....
Homerun 17 should be the coldest LR ever, I knew it before start today ! Since I have very clearly told my LR-friends that below -15C I will not run at all (I am 44 years old now !!!!), I can say that my mind was a chaos all the day. If it haven't been for christmas week and forecast saying that more snow is to expect in weekend I would not have been out there at all today.......
Anyway this was my experience today;
Protecting your face, hands and wholy-parts (two caps, superwarm gloves & triple layers all over), and you will make it. I faced a north-west gentle breeze (southerly winds and I have not started at all) that was quit ok, except when turning up westwards from Lindö tunnel out to Tappström. In less then two minutes my cheek and nose went numb (everything else I did protect). At that time I fought the thought to stop at next busstop. But positive thinking about Mr W,s and mine heroical "Öppet spår" back in 1997 made me feel confident again (-22C in Berga By at start).... A positive thing was that in those temperatures (if ploghed), the grip in the snow is allmost perfect, so no problem at all with snowslush and bad grip.......

Its amazing that you managed to do this run. I still don't understand why you dont buy a "robber cap". Me, Mylay and Gaby cant run without it. Why dont you buy one for yourself?
SvaraRaderaGood point there. I have no doubts about that any longer. I will join the "burka"-trend any day now :-)
