Staus-report mr.yesterday,
Starting to feel stronger, no running yet but i play indoor bandy 2 days/week.
Yes you are right mr.elmaco i have gain a couple of kilograms but at least i feel better from beeing totally exhausted, guess my body is not built for longdistance running.
Anyway i will try to start run next year but very carefully and short, no goals other than the below statements:
-have fun, go fishing, play indoor, run, everything that makes me happy.
-no races, musts or other happenings that may create stress or pressure.
-if the feeling is good i will run for fun, no more "i will beat them all".
-maybee i will participate in a race sometime in the future, nobody knows.
By the way, i also consider to stop using the garmin forerunner in order to skip the comparsion moment and stop hunting HR, km:s etc.
I have never been and will never be a pretentious scheme-governed person/runner, i believe thats my issue, but i have allways been an ultra-competitive fool and thats for sure not a good combination due to the fact that i allways push myself much more than my physical shape allows. Two times in to the wall, thats enough, now its time to do things that makes me feel good.
Anyhow I have been following your progress during the year and i am really impressed over your achievements. Nice to read about the secret long runs as well, i really miss those happenings.
Happy new year to all of you!!
Oh yes ! A posting from Mr 3.19.57, so you're still alaive ?
SvaraRaderaNice to read your story. I also guess it's a good idea to skip the watch as long as it creates negative preasure.
An idea....skip the HR-strap for a while. Just use the GPS, then you can at least still keep track on your distance......
A final comment is also that Garmin connect may not be your thing. Skip GC and just use ST instead. No preasure - all on your own, just for your self.......
That is actually what David Muturi did, and he told us that it worked fine for him.....
Mr L./.
Nice to hear from you and that you are feeling stronger. Sounds like a good plan :) Have you a long term running schedule ? Like setting max distance per run/week/month and max HR and max average HR ? Then you might be able to get stimulated by the fact that you are following the plan ? The reason for asking is my own experience having a tendancy to be "carried away" when doing unplanned running for fun (increasing distance and intensity too fast)
