Update from Mr W

It was a while since I posted an update, so here it comes. December was very low in activity, but after Christmas I have been back in normal activity with a mix of running, cross country skiing and strenght training. Since I started running in July 2010 I have focused on doing easy running in order to let the body adapt slowly to running. However in Januar 2011 I was "fed up" in doing runs at 7-8min/km so I tried to add some speed. My left piriformis did not like the added speed so I have focused on strenght training and tried to do it 2-3 times a week in order to compensate. I have also done some cross country skiing which has been very good for my cardiac ability and the piriformis so my last runs have been my best for a long time. Look at the last run: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/70453320
I'm a bit sore in the piriformis but I think it will be ok. So I feel I'm on the right track now and that my patience in 2010 has paid off.

I will present my statistics below:
Running: Cross country skiing:
Jan: 43km 21km
Feb: 27km 26

Yes, it is a low milage but I won't focus on statistics. The important goal is to keep to the plan.
