Time to make a short recapture of the summer of 2011. It was a summer of great training. It started with cycling during June. I did 1300km of cycling during the month of June. I actually tried to run 200km as well during June but that din't work out.
When vacation started in mid July we went to Kalmar for 9 days. I did Öland Marathon July 30. An excellent race. I can recommend it to everyone:

The picture above was taken from the cool Ironman in Kalmar. I was really inspired and I would so much like to a real ironman in the future. It's 3850m swimming, 182 km cycling and one marathon running. I don't think that its as hard as it sounds. But one thing - I would need a new bike. Look at the bike above. Its a completely different kind of bike. Much easier to ride fast compared to a standard race bike. Problem - well 25 000 SEK.
It was inspiring to see the bikers switch to running. Check this guy out. I think this was the guy who won the competition. This was taken after apps 3km of running. He looked so fresh. His marathon time at the end was 2:57 and finish time apps 8:40.

So I ran a lot in Kalmar. Tried to run every day. I think a had two rest days. Then we went to Denmark to check Legoland and other stuff out. I had some nice running in Denmark. I just love to experience a new town running. We spent five days in Vejle

And two days in Copenhagen

(I still don't understand how to post links in Blogger - please help me out)
As always - you can see my run postings on GC - always top updated.
July was a good month for me running wise. All in all 301km.
August is looking good at the moment as well. I think I will have after today 180km, which is good in August.
Yesterday I actually did a Yasso run again:

As you see my HR strap doesn't work (again!). I think I will have to send it to Garmin again! I hate the fact that HR doesn't work for me.
Anyway - I will try to do some intervals. Hopefully I will run Växjö marathon in two months time. Can I do sub 3:40?
Great recap!
SvaraRaderaSound like Växjö is going to be a good race!
P.S. I think you would do fine in an Ironman distance race with the bike you have. Maybe not as fast as the guy in the photos above, but he is running sub 3 hour marathons after the biking and swimming!
Fantastic, what a summer-recap ! Just to be out there in mid/end of July when most of Swedes use to do "nothing" more than rest & have late night barbeque partys....
