On Apr 28th it's time again for my annual favourite event, Lidingö Ultra. Last year we where approx. 300 runners in the 50k class. Right now per today 418 runners are registered. This is by far the biggest Ultra event in Sweden, and will continue to growth, that's for sure.
(Ok, latest breaking news says that Stockholm Marathon will arrange both a 50k & 100k Ultra in 2013, that may be something comparable with this.... but I am not so sure. The uniqe thing here is the race course. Have you done the ordinary Lidingöloppet, then you have at least a flavour of this thing...)
Unfortunately El Maco is right now converting into the bike-sport for some time now so no LU for him this year, but he has more or less promised me to join in Stockholm Ultra Marathon over 100k next year, that's cool.......
My experience from last year was unique, this race is a very strong drug, once you have been there you will come back, agian and agian, forever.....

Yo Kent! I hope the conditions for Lidingö Ultra are better than El Mace had for Vällingby!

Good Luck Mr Legend! I would love to run this race some day. This year it was Vällingby that was possible for me. Ida is working April 28. Lidingö Ultra sounds like the perfect Stockholm Marathon preparation since its one week earlier than last year!
