Congratulations to all of you. Chuck & Fernando for a great race and El Maco for making the only correct decision to "drop off" when not feeling OK.
This marathon was something special I must say. I started far too fast for this challanging route. Should have turned down first 10k to around 54min instead of 51..... I was also forced to do a pi-stop out on 30th km. (a junior misstake.......). Anyway I'am happy with my first July-mara ever. A pain in my left ancle was also there today from 20k and on ( and that's a little bit strange since I can not remember that I have ever sprained my left ancle.....).
Great thanks to my true fans , Ida & fam , Tobbe + Marre , Pernilla & Veronica up on that balcony above one of the service stations :-)
All in all this was now my 25th race at Marathon distance, and as you know I am only in it for the medals. This medal is a beautyful one that also tasted good.
Time now for me to concentrate on some Ultras.
