First time in Five Fingers since last spring. This is my longest run since 3 years I think, and my longest with five fingers. I decided to try them on because I was planning to do a longer run on gravel roads and this surface is too demanding for me to run completely barefoot. It was also a test to see if could keep my relatively newly learned running technique barefoot also in five fingers. I felt good, and the teqnique seemed good, although I had to concentrate in the last part becuse I was tired. I have done a 6, 7,5 and 13.5 in the last three days. And my body feels still OK, I had no pain in my hips during or after the run. No pain in piriformis. No pain whatssoever ! For me, this is no more than fantastic. This is the garmin from todays run. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/212624881 I still have a lot to do with my endurance but it was hot today (24C) and the track has a lot of up and down hills. Sorry, no pictures from today.
Hi there W !
SvaraRaderaFantastic, It's easy to understand your feeling right now. Just keep on running with a very smooth "ramp-up". I also believe that it's a good consept to shift sometimes between barefoot, 5-fingers and now also your new Tarahumara-sandals :-)

Amazing story. I have still done taken this step. My brother-in-law Anders (Mr Mizuno on this blog) has just started running barefoot (completely barefoot). He has done two short runs so far. I think his first run was 1km and his second 3 km. It was tough but good he said.
SvaraRaderaThanks ! And nice to hear that Mr. Mizuno has started :) That makes us three in this blogg so far...
SvaraRaderaMr. Mizuno, looking forward to hear more about your barefoot experince.
