Sep 8th will be a day to remember !Not only one, but five legendary runners participated in this spectacular long run.
From left to right at the starting point at 12.50, they are , El Fernan, Mr W, El Maco, Mr L, Mr 3.19.57.
The service team for the day where Marre, Philip & Tobbe, and they gave this run an extra dimension, by providing top class support. At the service stations (8 official and one bonus-station), they did serve , water, sportdrink, coce, coffe, salty cucumber, bananas, sweet candy & of course Risi-frutti. When waiting for the runners to show up I guess they tested the food & drinks from time to time carefully to make sure that it was of top quality :-)
First video below, appr. 5-10 min after first control at Adelsö Tofta, look how fresh the whole team was !
On next video the team arrives to Lindbyvägens double-control, just before "the Lindby ring" ) 13km & 18km. I was honestly surprised, no one climbed off here. All five joined for the third etapp up to Lindy and back. Mr 3.19.57 dropped of at 18km (8-10km more than predicted. well done).

Next video from appr. 20km. We are approaching the Adelsö ferry station again. El Fernan now said goodbye to the team, even though he looked superfresh. It was now decided to go 2 extra km, to avoid to much of waiting for next ferry for Munsö.
Below a picture of the new Luna Sandals record-holders at Lifetime runners. Mr W managed appr. 27km in these ligt weight things...... Amazing !!!!
And so to the end of the story. Mr L made it down to Nyckelby, tired but happy (42,2km).
At the last service station "Ekerö kyrkväg" El Maco, now the only one I know that has made
an Ultra run on Ekerö, refused to stop. He continued like in trans, he wasn't even tired, all the way to Träkvista (appr. 46,5km).
The evening was also great fun, of cousre with some famous 2002-strories, and some old nice songs :-:-) We where so happy to have you all out here this September Saturday .....
